When trading currencies the trade is always done in pairs and so when you buy one currency another currency is simultaneously being sold. The forex market is a global electronic network of banks, financial institutions, brokers and individual forex traders.

Major currency pairs are most liquid currency pairs, as these pairs are traded against US dollar.
Major currency pairs are as follows:

These currency pairs are comparatively less liquid than the major currency pairs as they are not against Us Dollar.
